Werbung unbeauftragt - Heute einmal ein anderer Blog Post von mir, als Local an die Locals von London, mit meinen Tipps der besten Kaffeeläden welche momentan geöffnet haben.

Here we go...

All my mentioned coffee shops are open during the Lockdown and I know we have to stay at home as much as we can, but a small “go-for-a-walk” a day with a hot drink and a delicious handmade pastry is important for our mental health and if you support the locals it is just as important. I hope you can enjoy some of my recommendations and I can bring you a small, joyful and warm smile on your face, despite the current difficult and uncertain time.

1. meletius coffee

It has a reason why this coffee shop is my number one on this list. The special thing is not only their delicious coffee, the lovely and always super friendly staff and the amazing and creative food. No, it is the roaster! They roast their coffee in-house and you can smell and taste it with every sip of coffee. It doesn’t matter if you enjoy a cappuccino, a flat white or their daily batch brewed coffee, everything is made with love.

2. Leafwild Cafe

A beautiful location with a lot of healthy food and drinks. Try their smoothies or vegetarian focaccia, you will love it. They bake a lot of gluten-free, sugar-free or vegan stuff. At the Lockdown time they sell a few organic products as well, like a mini supermarket.

3. Pophams

Well, I wish I could add here the amazing smell from this coffee and bakery shop, so you would understand this special place. The mix between the aroma of the coffee and the fresh baked and still hot pastries takes you to seventh heaven. Additionally, the location is a nice spot for the folks around the area to meet, laugh, enjoy and spend time together with a cup of coffee.

4. Redemption Roasters

The new Kings Cross Coal Drops Yard looks absolutely nice and it makes a lot of fun to walk around and enjoy the area with small shops, Restaurants and relaxing places. The Redemption Roasters is a mini small coffee shop with a few pastries and a very special concept. The company supports and trains prisoners in professional roastery and barista skills. They help the people to find work in their own coffee shops or with their wholesale clients. I think this is a fantastic story and definitely worth on the top 5 Coffee Shop List!

5. Trade

This coffee shop has a very special meaning for me and brings some memories back in mind. Three years ago, after a weekend in London and a few coffees at this spot we decided to move to the UK. A few weeks later when we came back to search for an apartment, we spend a lot of time at this coffee shop. The breakfast is delicious, it smells directly so tempting when you enter, the foamed milk on top of the coffee is perfect creamy and the pancakes are more than super fluffy. I love this spot and you can taste the love on your tongue.
